Hello lovelies,

I've been away for so long, but I have lots to share with you. :)

My hand is practically as good as new, I had my last physio appointment today and my lovely physio therapist was so pleased. I can now bend my knuckle 70 degrees!! I just need to keep up with my exercises and the aches and pains should slowly disappear.

I can draw again and feel more inspired to complete my drawing corner.

I had a lovely birthday, I was treated to a trip to the zoo with my Mum and fiance. I took a lot of photo's, which you can find on my Instagram.

I have recently joined my local roller derby team. This is super fun times as I've enjoyed going to bouts for the last couple of years (you can check out the post of my last outing here) and always wondered why a local league hasn't popped up.

And now it has, I've got my skates and skating gear......

And I'm loving the way exercise makes me feel, meeting new people and being more in touch with my body! After skating on these bad boys just twice I skated 16 laps in 5 minutes! I have been doing this for about a month and am completely addicted.

If all this is going over your head I suggest heading over to this website to get the low down.

Obligatory blurry skating photo. :)

So come join me on my twitter, for day to day musings, tumblr, where I re blog pretty, inspirational things from tattoos to Dita Von Teese looking fabulous, and my Instagram TATTOOEDNHEARTS which is where all my birthday zoo photo's are hiding.

I plan to do more blogging now, I feel the season's subtly changing and feel quite energised by it.

Happy International Womens day.

Hello!!

Happy International Womens day!

I thought I would use this day to tell you about the most inspirational woman in my life. I have to say that I also have other women in mind when I need inspiring and I think each has a different quality to me.

Audrey Hepburn for elegance and a enchanting soul.
Dita Von Teese for being utterly sexy and a fantastic business woman.
Kat Von D for being another fantastic business woman, an amazing artist and tattooed woman.

And thats all I can think of at the moment. I obviously don't know or knew any of these women so all my knowledge is from what they release into the world (I don't read gossip-y magazines, you know the stuff people want to keep private) and the rest is what I make of them in my imagination.

But the biggest inspiration is my Mum. I know so many people say that, but if you have a special relationship with your Mum, its an amazing thing. I am lucky to have got to the place where she is my best friend and we share things and support each other and laugh. Again, another thing you hear people say, but she really has been influential in the person that I am today. And I love that. I am proud of that and to be her daughter. She is strong and kind. And I think about her a lot and especially on this day. She's the woman who has the strength and courage to just get on with it. Especially when life gets tough. This post is dedicated to the beautiful soul that is my Mum. :)

Eye liner pencil vs liquid.... and a nail experiment too.

Hello,

After buying the No.7 metallic eye pencil set in the sales, I thought this is the perfect time to try my winged eye liner with pencils instead of my trusty liquid eye liner.

I have been using black, but I also have shades called, silver, forest, black, sapphire and platinum.

I have found that I can apply my eye liner thinner with liquid and chunkier with pencil. I'm quite liking the chunky look at the moment. It has lasted all day, only fading a little, but not creeping up my eye lid, a major hate of mine concerning past eye liner pencils. The black is softer than most because it is metallic, more like a very dark grey.

I also had a go at a half moon manicure, a la Dita Von Teese, using the 'hole re enforcers' cut in half to stick on the bottom of my nails. I didn't paint my nails red, instead opted for a dark grey and several layers of top coat to save my poor nails from chipping at work.

So all in all, pretty pleased with my make up experiments.

You can also follow me on Twitter to hear some little snippets from my life. <3
